Welcome to the Formula E Wiki!

Congratulations to Jean-Éric Vergne the 2018/19 ABB FIA Formula E Championship Champion!

The Formula E Wiki is a wikia site, set up to provide information on the ABB FIA Formula E Championship. With Season Six of the Championship just around the corner, everyone at the Wiki is hard at work (when time allows) to make sure that the site is up-to-date before the real action begins.

FIA Formula E Championship

In 2012 the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile, the biggest organisation involved in motorsport, announced a championship dedicated to electrical powered cars, with the 2014/15 season opening round in Beijing heralding a new era of motor racing. With Formula One and the World Endurance Championship increasingly using hybrid systems, the FIA decided to introduce Formula E as a platform to develop purely electrical race cars. Many cite this championship as the future of motorsport as a whole.

The official website for the FIA Formula E Championship can be found here: FIA Formula E

To view information for the much anticipated fifth season of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship, head to this article: 2018/19 Formula E Season.
